Draft Board Update
What did i get right/ what did i get wrong
Not that it matters, but for the The Dizzle Dynasty Challenge i updated my Big Board, but after trying desperately to bring my Kids to bed, i fell asleep with them and woke up at 2am.
Y’all don’t have to believe me, that’s okay, but if you still do, here are the results of my board after the first round
Takeaways:
In the first 13 picks i got two wrong. I thought out of the three Michigan players, Aday would go first. I did not think Morez was regarded that highly
Seeing Carr drop so much, i hadn’t anticipated. Maybe more 3-than-D?
I wanted to drop JQ further, but didn’t since his Upside was way too high. I don’t have the Medicals but i thought, a Team with an established C can afford to stash him for the playoffs at least. Spurs made sense, happy with that result
Tarris Reed Jr. climbed higher and higher after i posted my Draft Guide. It was born out of “I think this dude is better than i thought”-Eyetest-Tape-Grinding and “There are not many Cs but a lot of teams needing Cs.”
Same with Zuby, but looks like i got them flipped. I love Zubys game, but i am not sure what kinda niche-rolle he’s going to carve out in the NBA, although looking at his accolades, he’s going to find a way.
I must’ve misread the room entirely with Meleek and Evans but they should go for sure to the Knicks (one of them).
I am not sure why Alex was picked higher than Henri, a younger stretch big vs an older all around big, we’ll see, but i am very hesitant to give the Kings the benefit of doubt.

I nailed Maliq Brown, missed TKR, Baba Miller and Nickel by 1/ Lawal, Giillespie, Joshua Jefferson, Meleek by 2 and Nelson and Sharpe by 3 spots. In hindsight, with the Measurements for Braden Smith i thought he’d play in Europe, but given that he found a spot in Indiana was so fitting, i should’ve seen that coming.
Next step: Scouting the missing players and starting with my 2027 Draft Board.
